Terrain Exhbitions 2023
Exciting News: I'm Joining the Terrain Biennial 2023 Team!
I'm thrilled to announce that I've recently joined the board of Terrain Exhibitions and been appointed co-chair of the upcoming Terrain Biennial 2023. This is an incredible opportunity to be part of an organization dedicated to bringing contemporary art to everyday spaces and to work with a talented team of artists, curators, and community leaders.
What is Terrain Exhibitions?
For those unfamiliar, Terrain Exhibitions is a non-profit organization that transforms ordinary spaces – yards, porches, windowsills – into vibrant canvases for public art. Founded in 2011 by the late artist Sabina Ott, Terrain fosters a global network of artists, curators, and community builders dedicated to bringing art to life in unexpected places.
My Role as Co-Chair
As co-chair, I'll be working alongside my talented colleague, Stevie Cisneros Hanley, to curate and organize the 2024 Biennial. Together, we'll be responsible for selecting artists, finding host sites, and promoting the event to the community.
What to Expect from the 2024 Biennial
The Terrain Biennial is a grassroots public art festival that brings together artists and neighbors to create unique and inspiring installations. This year's Biennial will feature a diverse range of artworks, from sculptures and murals to interactive experiences.
How You Can Get Involved
There are many ways to get involved in the Terrain Biennial 2023. You can:
Host an Artist: Open up your space to an artist to create a unique installation.
Become an Artist: Submit your work for consideration in the Biennial.
Volunteer: Help out with the planning, promotion, or execution of the event.
Donate: Support Terrain Exhibitions financially to help make the Biennial a success.
I'm excited to see what incredible art will emerge from this year's Biennial. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to the event.
